Fog, Poor Weather or Lightning- What should you do!
All weather delays follow the clubs current risk assessments.
Fog
Fog in general play - A klaxon horn will sound to indicate you must mark your ball and walk into the clubhouse. Play will be reviewed throughout the day. If fog
persists play may be cancelled for the whole day. Our benchmark for safety is if we can see the 1st bunker on the lefthand side of the 1st fairway from the
clubhouse. Fog being a natural phenomenon this will be decided by the Golf and Membership Services Manager or their designate.
Fog during competitions - A klaxon horn will sound to indicate you must mark your ball and walk into the clubhouse. Reviews will take place every 30 minutes
up until a total of 1 hour and if fog is still present the competition will be cancelled. Our benchmark for safety is if we can see the 1st bunker on the lefthand
side of the 1st fairway from the clubhouse. Fog being a natural phenomenon this will be decided by the Golf and Membership Services Manager or their

Wet weather
The course condition is checked by the Course Manager on a daily basis and he/she will adjust our ‘Course Status’ on Intelligent Golf the clubs golf software.
This will include our Traffic Light System which will identify whether buggies, trolley’s or hire buggies are allowed to be used.
Rain stopping play during general play - A klaxon horn will sound to indicate you must mark your ball and walk into the clubhouse. If rain causes obstruction
to play on greens, take relief as per rule 16.1d. If play is affected by persistent rain a klaxon will sound to suspend play. This will be reviewed every 20 minutes.
